Electric Bicycle Anti-Theft System And Its Control Method
Leave a message
The present invention provides an electric bicycle anti-theft system for preventing theft of electric bicycles, comprising: a motor unit, a sensor unit, a controller, and an alarm unit. The motor unit is a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) configured to rotate the electric bicycle's wheel by receiving power from the power storage unit. The sensor unit is configured to detect the position of the motor unit's rotating shaft or rotor. The controller is configured to control the motor unit and sensor unit. The alarm unit is configured to generate an alarm via electrical signals from the control unit. Furthermore, when the anti-theft function is activated while the electric bicycle is idle, the controller monitors sensor values from the sensor unit to detect movement of the electric bicycle.
The rapid advancement of electric bicycle motor controllers in recent years has been astonishing. Operation has become increasingly user-friendly, while displays have grown more sophisticated. For instance, speed control has evolved to include "cruise lock" functionality. On the drive side, some controllers now integrate both electric propulsion and pedal-assist modes. When switched to pedal-assist mode, systems utilize chain tension sensors or bottom bracket torque sensors. Simply pedaling activates the assist function or adjusts its intensity.
